Seller Insights with Dr. Justin Aldred

Dr. Justin Aldred, on scaling innovation, preserving practice culture through transition, and why partnership with Together Women’s Health was the right move for the future of his practice.

Q. Why did you decide it was the right time to explore a partnership?

A. Our practice reached a stage where sustaining growth, enhancing patient care, and maintaining physician autonomy required additional resources and infrastructure. Exploring a partnership allowed us to focus more fully on clinical excellence and strategic development, rather than administrative tasks that were increasingly complex and time-consuming.

Q. Were you and your partners on the same page?

A. While each partner brought a unique perspective to the table, we shared a unified vision for the future of our practice. Open communication and thorough due diligence ensured we remained aligned on priorities such as maintaining quality care, supporting our team, and preserving the culture that made our group successful.

Q. Why TWH?

A. We chose TWH because of its reputation for fostering true physician partnerships rather than corporate takeovers. TWH offered a balance of operational support and clinical autonomy, along with a clear understanding of women’s health. Their values mirrored ours: prioritizing patient-centered care, investing in innovation, and respecting physician leadership.

Q. What has been your favorite part of the partnership?

A. The greatest benefit has been the ability to focus more intentionally on patient care and practice growth, knowing that we have strong administrative support. It has allowed us to implement new services, attract talent, and dedicate more time to leadership and clinical development—without losing sight of our core mission.

Q. What has been the most difficult for you since partnering?

A. The most challenging aspect has been navigating changes in systems and processes, particularly during the initial integration phase. Balancing new operational structures while preserving our established practice culture required careful effort and adaptability.

Q. Where do you see your practice in five years?

A. In five years, I envision a practice that has grown both in size and scope, expanding service lines and enhancing our role as a leader in comprehensive women’s health. We aim to integrate more personalized and integrative health services while maintaining the highest standards in OB/Gyn care.

Q. What’s one thing you can do now that you couldn’t do before partnering?

A. We now have the capacity to scale innovation—whether through adopting new technologies, expanding into new markets, or building out new service lines. Access to broader resources and expertise allows us to move forward with initiatives that would have been difficult to execute independently.

Q. What is one piece of advice you would give to a physician thinking about partnering?

A. Take the time to clearly define what matters most to you—whether that’s autonomy, culture, or patient care priorities. Ensure that your prospective partner shares those values. A partnership is a long-term commitment, and alignment on vision and mission is essential for long-term success.
