Our comprehensive breast health services include the following:
- Mammography: These tests use low-dose X-ray radiation technology to receive internal results of the breast. This ability allows health providers to detect signs of breast cancer early through abnormal cellular masses or tissue.
- Breast ultrasounds: Ultrasounds are similar to a mammogram's X-ray technology by getting a visual inside the breast. These also look for dense tissue around the breast, using sound waves to produce pictures.
- Manual breast exams: During a manual breast exam, your health provider will palpate your breast, searching for any lumps, bumps, texture changes, or nipple discharge. They will also teach you the correct methods for continuing this self-exam at home.
- Breast imaging: In addition to mammograms and ultrasounds, other forms of breast imaging services include MRIs and image-guided breast biopsy. A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam will provide a clear, 3D image of the breast for easy detection of abnormalities. A breast biopsy is a minimally-invasive procedure that removes a sample of abnormal tissue to test it for cancerous cells.
