About Angela Smet, MD
Dr. Smet is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and supporting them through some of life’s most important—and vulnerable—moments. A Wisconsin native, Dr. Smet completed her residency training at University of Michigan Health at Sparrow Hospital. She believes in meeting patients where they are, understanding their values, and working collaboratively to achieve the outcomes that matter most to them. She is continually inspired by the strength of her patients, many of whom are dedicated caregivers for their families and communities. For her, caring for these individuals is both a privilege and an opportunity to create a ripple effect that improves the well-being of entire communities. Outside of work, Dr. Smet enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, traveling to new places to learn about local cultures, and spending quiet weekends with family to recharge.
