About Michelle Taheri, MD
Dr. Taheri earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed her residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge, where she served as Chief Resident and received a Teaching Award. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Taheri serves on the medical staffs of River Oaks Hospital, Woman’s Hospital, and Surgicare of Jackson. Her clinical interests include vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), minimally invasive surgery, and patient education. Fluent in Spanish, she enjoys caring for Spanish-speaking patients and is a strong supporter of breastfeeding mothers. Outside of medicine, Dr. Taheri enjoys medical mission work, running, yoga, and spending time with her husband and three daughters.
