About William Henderson, MD
An Oxford native, Dr. Henderson has been part of the Oxford Clinic for Women since 1999. His father, Dr. William H. Henderson, was one of the original partners of the practice, and his influence helped shape Dr. Henderson’s interest in women’s health and obstetrics. Dr. Henderson earned a Bachelor of Science in philosophy from Millsaps College in 1991 before attending the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where he graduated in 1995. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, drawn to the specialty for its unique blend of long-term patient relationships, surgical care, and the opportunity to deliver babies—along with the variety that makes the work continually engaging. Outside of his practice, Dr. Henderson is an avid cyclist and a member of Oxford Cycling, and he encourages regular exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. He and his wife, Monie, have four children: Madeline, Andrew, Isabel, and Susanna.
